A man and his wife were visiting Brisbane and decided to drop by my office to see if they had any options for migrating to Australia.
They had previously approached other migration firms but were told that they did not meet any of the eligibility requirements due to their age.
After a brief discussion, I discovered that the man was a successful businessman overseas and was interested in opening a similar business in Australia. I presented a strategy whereby he would set up a business to sponsor himself for a Temporary Work Visa, then apply for a skills assessment and seek an age exemption in his permanent residency visa application.
I successfully secured the family’s permanent residency visas 11 months later, and they are now successful business owners in Australia.
