Successfully negotiating with local council leads to development application success

After his parents passed away when he was 15, my client left school to take over operation of the family poultry farm.

His goal was to establish a very large poultry farm, and he set about finding the right property. He located an appropriate piece of land and made a development application to start the process – however, the application was not successful.

Poultry farm developments often meet with resistance, due to a lack of understanding about impacts like odour and noise, which leads to an unwarranted fear of these projects.

I dealt with the numerous issues raised by Council trying to defeat my client’s proposal, and his application was approved – allowing him to achieve his goal and scale up the farm.
