Mullins is pleased to announce the appointment of commercial litigation and arbitration specialist Ashley Hill as a Partner in its Commercial Litigation team.
Ashley brings more than 25 years’ experience acting in complex disputes both in Australia and internationally. His appointment marks another significant milestone in Mullins’ ongoing growth strategy, following the firm’s recent expansion into family law and key Partner appointments within Property, Wills & Estates and Business Services teams.
Admitted in Queensland and the High Court of Australia, Ashley has previously worked at top-tier Australian law firms and spent five years overseas with international firms in Dubai and Singapore. His global experience spans six continents, acting for major clients in sectors including mining, oil and gas, aviation, technology, agriculture, insurance, property, and financial services.
Ashley’s practice spans large-scale and complex commercial litigation, international arbitration, shareholder and director disputes, capital markets litigation, and contentious regulatory matters. He has been recognised in Best Lawyers in Australia since 2014 across multiple categories, including litigation and international commercial arbitration, and is listed in Doyles Guide as a leading Queensland commercial litigator.
Mullins’ Managing Partner, Sam McIvor, welcomed Ashley’s appointment, saying “Ashley is a formidable highly regarded litigator and a welcome addition to our commercial litigation team – his legal expertise and international experience significantly enhances our capability in commercial disputes and arbitration. His appointment reflects our ongoing commitment to attracting top legal talent and delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients.”
Ashley joins at a time of strategic momentum for the firm. Following the launch of its family law practice earlier this year, Mullins continues to invest in key practice areas to support its clients’ evolving needs, including lateral and internal Partner appointments within Property, Wills & Estates, Sports Law, Construction and Planning and Environment teams.
Ashley’s appointment is part of Mullins’ broader strategy to deepen its offering across commercial, corporate, and private client legal services—reinforcing its commitment to ensuring we deliver exceptional legal and commercial outcomes for its valued clients.
