Special Counsel

Hannah is an experienced commercial lawyer, having advised clients on legal, risk, governance and compliance matters for more than 13 years.

She has advised clients in-house for the previous 8 years. She advises clients on matters involving services contracts, grant agreements, intellectual property licences and collaborations & joint ventures. She has led on various internal investigations and advised on appropriate process. Hannah provides practical advice on implementing and complying with business regulations including on personal data, modern slavery, ‘green’ advertising and anti-bribery and corruption. Hannah is an experienced strategic leader and is comfortable working with Boards and CEOs & other members of the leadership team and understands that succinct and plain English advice with clear options for implementation is important to them.

Hannah is recognised for being able to distil complex legal advice into actionable and risk-based options. Previous colleagues have described her as ’unflappable in a crisis’. She enjoys using these skills to support non-profit Boards and leadership teams with solutions to implement best practice governance and risk management processes, navigate potential disputes and negotiate reasonable and commercial deals, allowing them to focus on their core operations.
