Associate

Bethany Fitzgerald is an Associate at Mullins in the Family Law team. She is an experienced family lawyer, having worked exclusively in family law since 2019. She has advised clients on all areas of family law, including parenting, property and child support matters, as well as Financial Agreements.

Bethany has a particular expertise and interest in matters under the 1980 Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, and in high-net-worth property settlements involving complex entity structures where she works closely with accountants and specialist advisors for her clients.

Bethany has experience working with insolvency practitioners including bankruptcy trustees and liquidators involved in family law matters. This has included advising insolvency practitioners on the terms and validity of Financial Agreements and their legal rights as a party to family law proceedings and recovering debts of one or both of the matrimonial parties or related entities. She understands that achieving commercial and swift outcomes is a paramount consideration in all matters.

Bethany is recognised for her technical expertise in litigation, and she consistently delivers clear and decisive strategies to progress their matters efficiently. She is able to navigate the complexities of a separation for her clients both in and out of court, whilst taking the weight of the process off them.
