Ashley is a specialist commercial litigator and arbitration practitioner admitted as a solicitor in Queensland and the High Court of Australia since 2000. 

Ashley has worked at top-tier law firms in Australia in addition to international law firms in Dubai (UAE) and Singapore (between 2006 and 2011). Ashley joined Mullins as a Partner in July 2025.

With over 25 years’ experience in legal practice and dealing with complex disputes nationally and internationally (across six continents), Ashley has acted for some of the world’s most iconic multinational corporations including aviation manufacturers, investment banks, hotel groups, construction and property developers, oil and gas companies.

Ashley now acts for clients in multiple sectors including mining and natural resources, aviation, technology, property, agribusiness, hospitality, retail, insurance and financial services.  His practice for corporate and high-net-worth clients includes investment protection advice and acting in litigated and arbitral proceedings concerning capital markets, shareholders and directors, commercial, regulatory, debt recovery and insolvency disputes.

Recognised locally and nationally as a commercial and outcome-focused dispute specialist, Ashley is included in the ‘Best Lawyers in Australia’ in the areas of litigation, international arbitration, insurance and product liability since 2014. In 2019, Ashley was added to the ‘Doyles’ list of leading Queensland commercial litigation and disputes practitioners.
