Are is an experienced banking and finance lawyer in the Banking & Finance Team with more than 15 years’ experience advising on a broad range of finance transactions, including project, corporate, acquisition and property finance. He also has significant experience acting on solvent and insolvent restructurings, as well as the procurement, delivery and financing of major infrastructure assets.

Are acts for both borrowers and lenders, with a practice that spans property, investment and development finance, project finance and general commercial and corporate finance. He regularly advises banks, non‑bank lenders and domestic and international private credit providers on first‑ranking, mezzanine and preferred equity debt transactions. On the borrower side, he frequently acts for property developers across property funds, industrial, mixed‑use and residential projects.
