In a show of confidence in Brisbane’s premium office market, prominent Queensland commercial law firm Mullins Lawyers (Mullins) has signed a new 10-year lease at the iconic Riverside Centre, reinforcing its long-standing presence in Brisbane and commitment to its future in Queensland.
Mullins has called Riverside Centre home since 2009, and this latest renewal marks a significant milestone, securing a full floor on Level 21, 1,506sqm.
CBRE’s Brisbane Commercial Real Estate team supported the negotiation of the lease with GPT, enabling Mullins to take the next step in its long-term investment in a modern, future-focused workplace.
Mullins partnered with fellow Queensland business Growth Workplace Designs (Growth) to deliver a bespoke fit-out that champions collaboration, innovation, and client service — all while addressing the evolving needs of both staff and clients in a contemporary legal environment.
The collaboration between two Queensland-based companies champions local talent and reflects a growing trend: organisations reinvesting in their physical office to enhance culture, attract talent, and better serve clients in and better serve clients in an increasingly hybrid working environment.
“We were very focused on delivering a modern and functional office space that reflects our firm’s identity and culture, as well as supporting our aspirations for the future.” said Sam, Managing Partner of Mullins Lawyers. “Partnering with another Queensland business was a natural choice for us. Growth understood our core values and transformed them into a forward-thinking, people-centric design that aligns with our vision to provide a sustainable modern working environment for our people that will support our growth aspirations over at least the next decade.”
Mullins moved into its new office on Monday, 19 May, following an on-schedule delivery completed in just under three months.
The fit-out combines flexible workspaces, integrated technology, and wellness-focused design with a client-centric layout – striking the right balance between professionalism and modern, collaborative energy.
Growth’s Chief Executive Officer, Daniel Boyes, said: “It’s exciting to work with a well-regarded Queensland firm that shares our passion for high-performance spaces. This fit-out isn’t just about aesthetics – it’s about empowering people to do their best work in a functional and collaborative environment.”
This project reflects a growing trend in the professional services sector to reinvest in physical office spaces that attract talent and support hybrid models, while reaffirming Brisbane CBD’s role as a central business hub.
