Veena is a Senior Associate in our Litigation and Insolvency team. She has been in the legal industry for more than 10 years and has worked in commercial law firms and as an in-house legal counsel.
She has significant litigation and dispute resolution experience, heading large and complex Supreme Court and Federal Court (including the High Court) litigation matters, which involve contractual, mortgage and intellectual property disputes. Veena appears in all Queensland Courts. She has also practiced in the Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales.
Veena also advises commercial clients (including landlords, body corporates and insurers) on small litigation matters, such as debt recovery and lease disputes. She has significant experience in insolvency matters (including personal and corporate insolvency and examinations), and defending regulatory, compliance and disciplinary actions. Veena has co-authored reports for the International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Professionals relating to Insolvency Practitioner Regulation in the Asia Pacific Rim region.

Veena actively supports learning in higher education and was invited to join QUT's Law Faculty's sessional academic pool in 2017. She continues to teach with the Law Faculty, including dispute resolution. She also completed her Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (UK) in 2017.
Veena is bilingual and is fluent in English and Hindi.
For over two decades, I have volunteered assisting individuals from varying backgrounds and age groups to resolve commercial and non-commercial issues.
