Last Week, a Senior Associate from our Wills & Estates team, Chris Herrald, presented a paper and participated in a panel discussion at The Tax Institute’s 'Death… and Taxes Symposium'.
The annual conference is the Institute’s leading event for tax and other advisers who are, or expect to be, involved in the administration of an estate.
Chris sat on the panel alongside representatives from the ATO and discussed timeframes for the administration of estates and the practical issues that legal personal representatives face when administering estates.
Chris provided valuable insight into the ATO’s Practical Compliance Guideline 2018/4: ‘Income tax – liability of a legal personal representative of a deceased person’, and the upcoming changes to the Tax Agent Portal.
Thanks to The Tax Institute for inviting Chris to attend and present at this fantastic event!
